Finally...

After almost one year of practicing for portrait shooting, finally i jumped out from bottleneck. I have my own way of shooting and editing. Im not saying that im great, at least i improved a lot. I never wanted to compete with other people, i just want to compete with myself.
During passed 10months, i did a lot of fashion shooting, from there i found my way of editing. I love shooting.  :)

I appreciate those peoples that helped me a lot or my shooting, especially MUA Christina Foo and Yenne. And also those young and talented fashion designer Penny Chong, Bryan Siew, Amanda Kuek, Albee Choo, Lee Yu Ying, Yien Yi, Emelin Ramlus Sidiqe, Kunisha Samunathan, Annie Claire, Elaine Hong.
Of course my models Cassandra Janice Yong, Gwen Chin, Kate Chan, Wafa Johanna de Korte, Amanda Cheng and Tracy Lien. Thank you very much. You guys are great runway models.
Finally. thanks to my partners Samuel Sum and Elton Teo. U guys ROCKS!!!

Cassandra shoot was my improvement milestone. I found my way of editing. Eventually it became my style now.

I love doggie

After 2 years didnt shoot any pet photos, recently im back for Pets photography. Compare to 2 years ago, my pet shoot getting much better. One theory for Pets Photography (especially Dog n Cats) is shoot them like human photography. You will get what I mean after you try it yourself. Here's the photos.

Her name is BellBell. A very adorable girl. Her master treat her like they own daughter. When they pass BellBell to my friend, they not willing to leave because they scared us kidnap her daughter. After 30minutes then they only willing to leave her daughter. lol..

This Beagle is Ruskell. He is a very smart dog. Very obey dog. But only obey to his master. He can sit under the sun more than 10mins not move at all let us do the shooting. His master really trained him well.

Jackie, a golden retriever. He is my favorite dog to shoot so far because he is very photogenic.

Bottleneck

I think many photographers will face at least one bottleneck period during their photography journey. Bottleneck here means that when you found your photography skill reach the top of the limitation of your own by that time. You want some inspiration or some other thing to improve yourself. During this period, u rather give yourself a long break or find other resources to improve your skill.
After taken few months break from model shooting, im facing my bottleneck when i return to model shooting. I gave up using Lightroom software for my editing and turn to photoshop. This is hard for me as i really dot know how to edit pics using photoshop. My first album purely using photoshop editing is "Roselyn". I really dont satisfied the end result. So i started to read books and photos from a great photographer from Taiwan named Red Porcupine. I really admire his photos because it look so natural. I will keep study his works and hopefully can learn something from his book and his pics.
Here's my third shooting during my bottleneck.

Lomo Diana F+ !!!

I always wanted to buy a lomo camera, i dream to buy one since few years ago, before i bought my DSLR. Lomo LCA is my dream camera that time, but i just couldn't spend my money on LCA because its too expensive for a plastic toy camera. After i got my DSLR, i stop dreaming about lomo camera because i cant afford one. Back to 2months ago, i got myself a film camera (Olympus OM10), and my passion for film came back like thunderstorm. I just couldn't stop surveying film camera, and also lomo camera. Finally few weeks ago i got myself a Lomo  Diana F+, it was an accident because i didnt plan to get it so soon. It is a Diana F+ Qing Hua. At first i wanted to choose "Take my heart" but after i hold it on my hand i feel like its kind if plastic feel (i know its a plastic camera btw,lol..) But finally i choose Qing Hua because it look more solid and worth for money. It has pottery feel rather than a plastic skin with sticker on it. Another reason i bought it so fast is because the next day im going to Bukit Tinggi French and Japanese Village. I think its a great place to shoot with lomo.
Now i can shout out loud that im officially a LOMOGRAPHER!!!! haha....

love the light leak. ^^

Melaka in b/w

Last few weeks was our first ZUST Photography outing. We went to Melaka for a food trip. I have to say, they really can eat a lot. @@. It was a 'hooray' trip for me cos i can bring my film camera walk walk shot shot. I had a wonderful trip with my film camera with me. This time is my 2nd time shoot with my Olympus OM10 and my first time shoot with B/W film. I choose Kodak TMax 400 because i kinda like the effect. I heard this film is the sharpest B/W film. After developed the film, i was shocked watching my photos. I like the saturation and the contrast. Its cool!

Lets see the photos!

The owner was roasting dried squid.

Nigel the Bruno Mars xD

Nice sun light in a famous cendol shop nearby Red House.

I was hoping i can capture the dun light reflected in the motorcycle's mirror in star shape but too bad it doesnt

All of them act cool =='

Feel it... ^^

This is definitely my favorite in this series.

Roselyn

I was invited for a shooting session by my buddy Nigel Chen at Bukit Tinggi with Micheal n Roselyn. It is my first shooting session after 6months. I totally forgot how to shoot n how to edit picha. This time im totally using new editing skill which inspired from my buddy Ryan. Although im not satisfied with the end result but its a good try.
